DOCIL C 510 PROBE

Overfill probe for fixed pressurized tankers

DOCIL sensor - LARCO

The Docil sensor comprises a glass cone and an electronic circuit with, among other things, an infrared luminous signal transmitter and a receiver.
The Docil sensor works on the optical reflection/refraction principle.

DOCIL sensor characteristics

  • Accuracy: 0.1 mm
  • Response time: 1 ms
  • This sensor is ATEX certified

When the glass cone is not immersed in the liquid, the optical signal is reflected entirely towards the transmitter :

Conversely, when the cone is immersed in a liquid (hydrocarbon), the luminous signal is refracted and the receiver no longer receives the signal, thereby triggering an alarm :

DOCIL C 510 PROBE OPERATING PRINCIPLES

The DOCIL C 510 probe is used to comply with the expansion space in the LPG tankers and transport wagons.

This probe is an essential component in stopping loading operations automatically to prevent overfilling.

The DOCIL C 510 probe has two optical sensors with the following operating process :

– A request to slow down the pump flow rate is sent on reaching the first level.

– A request to stop the pumps is sent on reaching the second level.

An explosion proof cabinet is installed on the loading bay to process the information from the DOCIL C 510 probe.
