The Challenge
The Donges refinery, operated by TOTALENERGIES, needed to urgently replace JET-A1 storage equipment that was over 35 years old. The shutdown of a tank being critical to the continuity of operations, the challenge was to supply and install a floating suction and a floating screen in less than 6 weeks, while guaranteeing the quality of the product.
The solution
Initial On-Site Inspection
To assess the condition of existing equipment and validate input data (column position, outlet tapping, etc.).
Technical Design
Drawing up dimensional plans.
Rapid production of standard components (T2000 swivel joint).
Made-to-measure peripheral seal, combined column passage for VPR, and floating suction tubes.
Optimised Logistics
Shipment in two batches: standard elements first, so as not to hold up the site, and then custom-made parts.
Project Follow-Up
Coordination with the installer and end-user.
On-site acceptance of correct installation to ensure compliance.
