High-Pressure Transport Probe (LPG) – DOCIL C 510
The DOCIL C 510 probe is a high-pressure level sensor designed for pressurized tanks, notably LPG tank trucks and railcars. Equipped with two integrated optical sensors, it secures filling operations and maintains the gas phase by automatically controlling pump reduction or shutdown before any overfilling occurs. This maximizes operational capacity without compromising loading safety.

Benefits
- Active prevention of overfilling
- Process optimization, saving time and money compared to weighbridges
- Specifically designed for LPG trucks and railcars
- Two independent safety thresholds: flow reduction followed by complete shutdown
- Materials resistant to propane, butane, and high pressures
- Compliant with standard NF M88-117:1993
Avantages
Installation
The probe is mounted inside the tank on a 1″ flange, directly connected to a LARCO 2596BY control cabinet.
This configuration allows controlling the loading pump based on two detection thresholds:
First level reached → flow reduction
Second level reached → automatic pump shutdown
Technologie
The system is based on DOCIL optical sensors operating on the principle of light refraction through a glass cone.
When the liquid reaches the sensor, it triggers the corresponding alarm.
The materials used (steel, Delrin, polyurethane) are selected to withstand the specific chemical and mechanical stresses of pressurized transport.
Testability
- Monitoring proper operation during each filling
- Test can be performed without dismantling the probe
Options
- No option
