DOCIL C400 Overflow Prevention Probe
The DOCIL C400 probe is an overflow prevention detection system designed for liquid hydrocarbon tanks.

It triggers an alarm or other programmable action as soon as the liquid level reaches a critical threshold, preventing any risk of overflow.
Its unique built-in test device allows verification of proper operation without dismantling the probe or interrupting operations.
Benefits
- Active overflow prevention
- Enhanced site and personnel safety
- Integrated test device: real-time verification with stored product
- Easy installation on roof nozzle or tank shell
- Up to 3 detection levels adjustable on site
- Reliable optical technology, insensitive to vapors
- Robust and durable design: no moving parts
- Detection response time under 1 ms
Avantages
Installation
The probe can be mounted either on a side nozzle (tank shell) or on a roof nozzle. Its compact design and simple connection allow for quick installation, including on tanks in service.
Technology
The DOCIL sensor operates on an optical reflection/refraction principle using a glass cone. When the cone is submerged, light refracts and triggers a signal through an integrated electronic circuit.
Testability
This probe is the only one to integrate a real trigger test system by injecting product onto the sensor, allowing for trigger testing without dismantling or shutting down the tank.
Options
- DOCIL C400 C: 1 sensor (e.g. Very High Level – VHL)
- DOCIL C400 D: 2 sensors (e.g. High Level – HL and Very High Level – VHL)
- DOCIL C400 E: 3 sensors (e.g. Operating Level – OL, High Level – HL, and Very High Level – VHL)
Certifications
- SIL 2 / SIL 3: Functional Safety
- ATEX II 1 G Ex ia IIC T5 Ga: Suitable for zones 0, 1, or 2 (gas)
- Ambient temperature: -20 °C to +60 °C
- Type certification: LCIE 03 ATEX 6105 X
