The Challenge

Thappline, a major player in oil storage in Thailand, called on LARCO to equip a new Jet A1 tank with a 30-inch floating suction system — a size never before produced by LARCO. The objective: to ensure a withdrawal flow rate of 3,000 m³/h.

The solution

Product Innovation

Complete redesign of calculation notes.

Creation of new production tooling.

Managing Technical Constraints

Special handling for heavy and bulky components.

Deployment

Design and manufacturing completed in 4 months.

On-site installation supervision in Bangkok by a LARCO project manager.

Optimization of Depot Operations

Real-time monitoring of hydrocarbon levels enabled by measurement radars installed on the tanks.

Remote control of valves and pumps directly from the supervision system, providing operators with increased flexibility and responsiveness.

The result

  • Robust and reliable solution, used on a daily basis.
  • Extension of LARCO’s product range up to 30 inches.
  • Opening to new international markets.
