INTERNAL FLOATING COVER: COVERFLOTE

LARCO'S INTERNAL FLOATING ROOF

CAN SAVE UP TO 99% OF PRODUCT EVAPORATION

The COVERFLOTE, is a full contact internal floating cover, of the sandwich technology.

The system consists of closed cell polyurethane foam pannels, stuck between two thin aluminum sheets.
The pannels are connected together with H corners. Because of the pannels’ density (about 150 kg/m3) the COVERFLOTE is a self buoyant cover, which is 100% unsinkable.

KEY FEATURES

> No hot work for installing the COVERFLOTE itself

> No need to cut the shell for a temporary opening

> All COVERFLOTE’s components can be introduced through a 24’’ manhole

> No need of crane as the components are very light

> Necessary electrical power is few (light, drilling, saw)

> Quick installation : reduced immobilisation of the tanks

> No need to proceed to tightness test and to hydraulic tests (saving of time and money to avoid to pump water and to clean after emptying)

> Possible installation after water test of the tank and painting

> Can be fitted to the geometrical particularity of the tank shell (verticality)

> Possible installation by local workers, with possible assistance of one of LARCO's Supervisors.

Savings

As it is a full contact deck, the COVERFLOTE can save up to 99% of product evaporation compared to an equivalent fixed roof tank.

These savings will mainly depend on the stored product, on the tank’s dimensions and colour, and on the total annual turnover.

Thanks to this, the pay-back is about 1 to 2 years.
