It prevents the transmission of accidentally ignited flames or explosions while permitting the process gas to flow.


Flame Arresters can be installed on their own or as part of a more comprehensive flame and explosion safety system.

In line Detonation Arrester

A flame Arrester is intented to prevent damage to any plant or equipment it is protecting and in many cases it will prevent serious injury or loss of life.

End of line Deflagration Arrester

The suppply of flame arrestors as well as some other equipment into Europe is controlled by the EC Directive 94/9/EC  which is more commonly known as the ATEX Directive "100a".
